SEMINAR “EMBRACE INCLUSION & DIVERSITY IN YOUR EASMUS +

Since 14.11.-16.11.2023, a three-day seminar “EMBRACE inclusion & Diversity in your Easmus + was held in Zagreb🇭🇷, where the Agency for Mobility and EU🇪🇺 programmes hosted participants from partner national Erasmus + agencies: Austria, Belgium, Estonia, Finland, Malta and Romania with a view to raising awareness of inclusion and diversity and promoting the participation of more people with fewer opportunities in Erasmus + projects.

The focus of the seminar is on exploring different ways in which people with fewer opportunities can be involved in different project phases.

On the first day of the seminar, participants participated in a panel discussion with the aim of achieving a common understanding of those who can be considered as people with fewer opportunities and establishing a framework for their inclusion in the Erasmus + programme.
One of the participants in the panel discussion was Branko, a student of the Center for Education Slave Raškaj Zagreb , who talked about the active participation of people with fewer opportunities in various phases of the Zero Waste Catering Lab Project
At the end of the panel discussion, he told all participants: “Each person needs to accept the opportunities offered and gain new experiences. If we do not accept it, someone else will.”

On the second day, the participants visited institutions whose projects were highlighted as examples of good practice in the fields of education and general education, vocational education and training, higher education and adult education and promoted the priority “inclusion and diversity” through participation of participants with fewer opportunities, and visited the Centre for Education Slave Rašjak Zagreb.

The Centre introduced them to their work, presented their experiences on participation in Erasmus + projects, showed the results of the Zero Waste Catering Lab Project, experiences of volunteers and students.
They also organized THE ZERO WASTE ESCAPE ROOM where participants showed their knowledge of the said concept through the game, but also gained new ones.
Through ceramic workshops, table tennis participants had the opportunity to hang out with students.
